Daily maintenance and repair of ATOS hydraulic cylinder

ATOS hydraulic cylinder is a hydraulic actuator that converts hydraulic energy into mechanical energy and performs linear reciprocating motion (or swing motion). The structure is simple and the work is reliable. When used to realize reciprocating motion, the deceleration device can be omitted, there is no transmission gap, and the motion is stable. It is widely used in various mechanical hydraulic systems. The output force of the hydraulic cylinder is proportional to the effective area of the piston and the pressure difference on both sides; the hydraulic cylinder is basically composed of a cylinder barrel and a cylinder head, a piston and a piston rod, a sealing device, a buffer device, and an exhaust device. Snubbers and vents are application-specific, others are essential.
ATOS hydraulic cylinder is an actuator that converts hydraulic energy into mechanical energy in a hydraulic system. The failure can basically be summarized as misoperation of the hydraulic cylinder, inability to push the load, piston slipping, or crawling. It is not uncommon for equipment to shut down due to hydraulic cylinder failure. Therefore, attention should be paid to the fault diagnosis and maintenance of hydraulic cylinders.

How to properly maintain and maintain ATOS hydraulic cylinders?

1. During the use of the oil cylinder, the hydraulic oil should be replaced regularly, and the filter screen of the system should be cleaned to ensure cleanliness and prolong the service life.

2. Each time the oil cylinder is used, it must be fully extended and retracted for 5 strokes before operating with the load. Why are you doing this? Doing so can evacuate the air in the system and preheat each system, which can effectively prevent air or moisture in the system from causing a gas explosion (or burning) in the cylinder, damaging the seals, and causing leakage in the cylinder. Failed to wait.

Third, control the system temperature. Excessive oil temperature will reduce the service life of the seals. Long-term high oil temperatures can cause permanent deformation or even complete failure of the seal.

Fourth, protect the outer surface of the piston rod to prevent damage to the seals from bumps and scratches. Frequently clean the dust ring on the dynamic seal of the oil cylinder and the sand on the exposed piston rod to prevent dirt from adhering to the surface of the piston rod and making it difficult to clean. Dirt entering the cylinder can damage the piston, cylinder, or seals.

5. Frequently check the connecting parts such as threads and bolts, and tighten them immediately if they are found to be loose.

6. Regularly lubricate the connecting parts to prevent corrosion or abnormal wear in the oil-free state.

ATOS hydraulic cylinder maintenance process:

1. Bake the scratched part with an oxyacetylene flame (control the temperature to avoid surface annealing), and bake the oil stains that have penetrated the metal surface all year round until there is no spark splashing.

2. Use an angle grinder to process the scratches, grind to a depth of more than 1mm, and grind out grooves along the guide rail, preferably dovetail grooves. Drill holes at both ends of the scratch to change the stressful situation.

3. Clean the surface with absorbent cotton dipped in acetone or absolute ethanol.

4. Apply the metal repair material to the scratched surface; the first layer should be thin, and uniform and completely cover the scratched surface to ensure the best combination of the material and the metal surface, then apply the material to the entire repaired part and press repeatedly. Make sure the material is packed and to the desired thickness, slightly above the surface of the rail.

5. Material requires 24 hours at 24°C to fully develop all properties. To save time, you can increase the temperature with a tungsten-halogen lamp. For every 11°C increase in temperature, the curing time is cut in half. The optimum curing temperature is 70°C.

6. After the material is solidified, use a fine grinding stone or a scraper to smooth the material that is higher than the guide rail surface, and the construction is completed.

Maintenance precautions for ATOS hydraulic cylinders:

In order to ensure the normal operation of the equipment, it is necessary to ensure:

1. Strict and careful installation;

2. Clean up the residual putty and impurities in the equipment;

3. Replace the lubricating oil and improve the equipment lubrication system;

4. Replace the skylight to ensure effective cleaning of iron filings on the guide rails. All equipment can only prolong the service life of the equipment if it is properly maintained and maintained.
