Chrome plated rods are precision ground steel bars with a hard chrome coating, widely used in hydraulic cylinders, pneumatic actuators, and linear motion systems. They are designed to deliver high surface hardness, corrosion resistance, and excellent straightness. Depending on application requirements, chrome plated rods are available in three material options:
Carbon Steel – Offers high strength and good machinability, suitable for general hydraulic and mechanical use.
Stainless Steel – Provides excellent corrosion resistance, ideal for use in marine, chemical, or outdoor environments. Common grades include SUS304 and SUS316.
Alloy Steel – Combines strength and toughness with improved wear resistance, suitable for high-load or impact applications.
Standard chrome thickness ranges from 20 to 100 microns, ensuring low friction, extended seal life, and smooth performance under demanding conditions.
